I finished my T day dinner somewhere between Heckin’ Chonker and Oh Lawd He Comin’. How about you? Looking back I went into the day with nothing but Pumpkin Pie (homemade including the pumpkin puree) on my mind. Just the anticipation of dessert causes my old brain to release a little dopamine to let me know that I’m about to get all sugared up so by the time I get to the end of the meal, my brain is on autopilot and I’m eating it all. Is this you? Did you finish off the pie for breakfast?
Don’t worry, you are not alone. This is how some of us humans are wired. How crazy is it that the thought of sugar can cause our brain to release the feel good hormone? No wonder we all feel addicted or at least very attached to our sweet treats. Unfortunately, like most drugs, our brains will require more and more of the sweet stuff to light up the receptors driving us to eat more sugar. It can be an endless loop and you can feel out of control.
Don’t worry, I got you on this issue. Not only can I tell you what’s going on in your brain but I can give you concrete tools to help you gain control over sugar, food and weight in general. Sign up for a consult with me today so you can finish off 2020 like A Fine Boi. (Check out the Chonk Chart if you have no idea what I am talking about.)
